The Vauban Network is an association of different local authorities. Local councillors from the 13 communities in the Network are ex officio members of this association:
Besançon, Briançon, Mont-Dauphin, Mont-Louis, Villefranche-de-Conflent, Blaye, Cussac-Fort-Médoc, Saint-Martin-de-Ré, Camaret-sur-Mer, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Arras, Longwy, Neuf-Brisach.

In addition to the fortified towns concerned, the Network counts a growing number of other local and regional authorities and institutional partners amongst its members.

consistent with its policy of protecting and enhancing heritage and helping cultural associations, actively supports the Network in its daily actions.

manager of the Mont-Dauphin stronghold, pursues an active policy of organizing activities and enhancing the site.

collaborates closely with the municipalities of Villefranche-de-Conflent and Mont-Louis in the management of their fortified heritage.

is committed to supporting and developing Besançon’s policy for tourism planning and development.

which is highly experienced in the field of tourism, works in close collaboration with the municipality of Blaye to develop a coherent and top quality tourism policy at the site.

which owns Fort Griffon and the Gare d’Eau fortifications at Besancon, is committed to preserving and enhancing this monument, which is part of the town’s fortifications.

consistent with its policy of developping a sustainable tourism and enhancing cultural heritage, actively supports the town of Camaret-sur-Mer in the management of its fortifications.

administrative manager of the island of Tatihou, strives to develop tourist and cultural facilities at the site, thereby contributing to its enhancement.

backs the enhancement policy of Villefranche-de Conflent and Mont-Louis.

is actively involved in the enhancement policy of the Mont Dauphin and Briançon sites, in particular by supporting communication and enhancement actions.

presided by Alain Monferrand has been appointed a member of honour of the Network of Major Vauban Sites.

works closely with the municipality of Saint-Martin-de-Ré to promote heritage. The recent certification of the Ile de Ré as a "Pays d’art et d’histoire" marks a new stage in this policy aimed at giving heritage a central place in the territory’s tourist offer.

now the owner of the citadel, wishes to turn this site into a real new district of the city of Arras and is multiplying the projects to reconvert and develop this exceptional heritage.

is actively involved in the restoration, development and tourism of the stronghold of Neuf-Brisach.

undertakes to promote the fortifications of Neuf-Brisach and to develop the tourist interest of this site preserved in an exceptional state.

UNESCO RSMV
