Visits

You can visit the urban wall all year round and follow the heritage signs in french and italian.
Entrance to the Salettes, the Têtes Forts and the Castle is only possible on a guided visit.
For operational and security reasons, access to the other forts is subject to strict rules and regulations.


To help you find out more about Briançon’s heritage, the heritage department offers a whole host of different guided visits, lectures, exhibitions and workshops.

  • The old town
    To find out everything about the history of the town (medieval church, the sundials, the fortifications by Vauban...)
    Rates: 6,50 euros / 4,80 euros / Free under 12
    At 2.30 pm.
