Visits

You can visit the Saint-Martin-de-Ré urban wall all year round.
However, the citadel now houses a prison and visits are not authorized.

The Tourist Office and the Ernest Cognacq Museum both offer many different guided visits from June to September and during the school holidays.
Guided visits are available for groups all year round , advance booking required.
The Ernest Cognacq Museum also has heritage workshops for children.
